Former Jefferson High School star Taylor Spivey contributed to her college team, the Piedmont Lions, as they achieved a 7-5 win against the Brevard Tornados in NCAA Division III softball play on Wednesday, March 18, at 2 p.m.
The matchup was held at Walker Athletic Complex and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. During their earlier contest on Wednesday, March 18, the Lions prevailed by a 9-1 margin.
Spivey yielded five earned runs across 3.1 innings.
Piedmont’s next contest is set for Friday, March 20, at 12 p.m. against the Asbury Eagles at Kirkland Complex.
