Ava Lunsford, a former Elbert County High School athlete and current utility player for the North Georgia Nighthawks softball team, is set to take part in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
North Georgia enters the tournament as the top seed and will face off against the second-seeded McKendree Bearcats.
The opening game is slated for Thursday, May 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Jim Frost Stadium.
