Meet the Staff: Kerry Cavanaugh

Kerry Cavanaugh retired from being an elementary school teacher in Athens-Clarke County. Kerry is a “Yankee”, originally from New York City, but has been in the South for nineteen years. He is a lifelong baseball fan. Any guess as to his favorite team? (Read on for the answer.)

Kerry’s also a lifelong reader, and strongly believes, “Reading is the foundation of education”. This philosophy guided how he taught and brought him to the Madison County Library.

Kerry has two dogs, named Mica and Jackson. His favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees!
