Madison County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 25.

In an effort to better serve our members’ professional development needs, the Chamber piloted a training specifically for one of your most integral team members-the middle manager. Research consistently states that middle managers set the tone for the organization, ultimately impacting your bottom line. The Chamber partnered with the UGA Small Business Development Center and the UGA J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development to provide the new Power Hour Series for Middle Managers. This series consisted of three sessions, each geared toward honing the skills of your middle manager. Sessions included: 1) Understanding Your Management & Communication Style, 2) Communicating Across Generations/Leading Employees through Change, 3) Best Practices for Hiring & Retaining Employees

Thank you to our pilot group of Middle Managers that participated in this event:

  • Jim Foster, Madison County Ace Hardware
  • Jeff    Bray, Madison County Hardware
  • Dustin Fowler, SMI Composites LLC
