There was one gas station in cities across Barrow County selling diesel gas at the lowest price of $4.76 per gallon in the week ending May 30, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Diesel gas prices averaged $4.97 per gallon in Barrow County.
Among 59 gas stations in cities within Barrow County, 22 offered diesel gas.
Across Georgia, the average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas fell to $4.97, compared to the week before.
Fuel prices climbed sharply in spring 2026 as tensions in the Middle East disrupted global oil shipments and refinery outages tightened gasoline supplies in parts of the United States. Analysts monitoring the energy market have pointed to refinery utilization rates, U.S. crude oil inventories, OPEC+ production policies and seasonal driving demand as factors influencing fuel costs in 2026, particularly during periods of refinery outages or shipping disruptions affecting global oil supplies.
