For the second year in a row, the Jackson County School System (JCSS) has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The district also received an Education Industry Top Workplace distinction following an anonymous third-party survey conducted in spring 2025. The survey asked staff members about their views on the organization’s culture and climate.

The school system was previously named a 2024 AJC Top Workplace, an Education Industry Top Workplace, and a 2025 USA Top Workplace. JCSS is the largest public school system in Jackson County, serving more than 11,400 students across 13 schools. It is also the county’s second-largest employer across all industries.
