Both East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School have been ranked among the top 40 percent of high schools nationwide by U.S. News & World Report. The rankings consider factors such as graduation rates, advanced placement testing, and performance on state-mandated exams.

“Both high schools within the Jackson County School System have one again been ranked inside the U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best High Schools. East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School both earned the honor of ranking inside the top 40 percent of all high schools nationally.”

​The U.S. News & World Report takes into consideration a wide-array of criteria, including a school’s graduation rate, advanced placement testing and proficiency on state-mandated exams.
