Jackson County High School has received the 2024-25 College Success Award from GreatSchools.org, according to an announcement made over the Thanksgiving break.
The award is given to schools that demonstrate strong performance in preparing students for college. The selection criteria include high graduation rates, strong results on college entrance exams, a high percentage of graduates enrolling in higher education institutions, and students persisting in college without needing remediation.
In addition to this recognition, Jackson County High School appears on the U.S. News and World Report’s list of Best High Schools for 2025. The school has also been named a Georgia Department of Education AP Honor School and is one of only 34 high schools in Georgia offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
