Hull-Sanford Elementary School had 39 multiracial students enrolled for the 2024-25 school year, representing a 7.1% decline from the prior year, according to data from the Georgia Department of Education.

Enrollment reports showed a total of 489 students at Hull-Sanford Elementary School for 2024-25. Multiracial students accounted for 8% of enrollment, marking them as the second-smallest ethnic group at the school.

The facility operates within Madison County School District, which has a central office located in Danielsville.

Of the seven schools in Madison County School District, Madison County High School reported the largest number of multiracial students for 2024-25, reaching 75 enrollees.

Statewide, public school enrollment in Georgia surpassed 1.7 million students, based on the Georgia Department of Education’s Fiscal Year 2026-1 findings. Elementary grades represented the largest share with 787,206 students (45.9%), followed by middle grades at 388,733 students (22.7%), and 539,092 high school students (31.4%).

Chronic absenteeism continues to challenge Georgia schools in the years following the pandemic, with 20.7% of students missing 10% or more school days in 2024, according to state Department of Education data. To address this, the GaDOE developed a set of statewide measures including a real-time dashboard, broader public awareness, and targeted help for higher-need districts to improve daily attendance rates.

In 2025, state lawmakers approved an update to school attendance legislation banning expulsions based solely on absenteeism. The legislation also created new data tracking requirements and supports alternative diploma pathways for students.

By 2026, Georgia public schools reported an average student-teacher ratio of close to 14:1, which was slightly better than the national average of 15:1.
