On January 12, 2026, Gaines posted “Let’s get to work!”.
Two days later, on January 14, 2026, he reflected on the legacy of Charlie Kirk and expressed gratitude for support from Turning Point Action. He wrote: “Charlie Kirk was a hero. He inspired me and so many others in our generation. I’m deeply honored to have @TPAction_’s support, and I look forward to fighting alongside Turning Point to continue advancing the America First agenda.”
On January 15, 2026, Gaines detailed his schedule across several locations in Georgia: “Just walked in from another great day. Started at Eggs & Issues in Atlanta, then legislative day 3 under the Gold Dome. This afternoon: Covington for a tour of Bridgestone Golf & a visit to Mort Ewing’s farm. Wrapped up in Taliaferro Co. with the monthly GOP. Full speed ahead!”
Gaines succeeded Trey Rhodes as representative for Georgia’s 120th House District after being elected in 2023.
