Houston Gaines, a member of the Georgia State House representing the 120th District, has recently shared updates on his activities and community engagement through several social media posts.
On October 5, 2025, Gaines reflected on participating in a local event by stating, “It was an honor to speak at Walton County’s vigil for Charlie Kirk last Sunday. More than 200 people came to honor his legacy. Charlie has inspired millions of Americans — particularly young people — and as a result, we’re seeing a faith & political revival in this country.”
The following day, he directed attention to media coverage related to his campaign: “Check out this weekend’s Walton Tribune for coverage of our campaign kickoff — front page & A3!” This post was published on October 6, 2025.
On October 7, 2025, Gaines shared about attending a religious service and reflecting on international events: “On Sunday, I was honored to attend Ahavath Achim Synagogue & stand with our Jewish neighbors to reflect on what the world witnessed two years ago today when Hamas terrorists brutally murdered innocent Israelis. We prayed for peace & the return of the hostages—thanks to @POTUS,”
Gaines began serving in the Georgia State House in 2023 after being elected as a Republican representative for District 120. He succeeded Trey Rhodes in this position.
