On August 3, 2025, Gaines shared a statement highlighting an endorsement and notable fundraising milestone: “My winner is State Rep. Houston Gaines who announced his campaign for the 10th district and raised $510,000 on his first day. In my entire 30 years in politics, I’ve never seen that happen.”
