Houston Gaines, a member of the Georgia State House representing the 120th District since 2023, has recently expressed gratitude for support received from colleagues and local GOP leaders in a series of social media posts.

On August 12, 2025, Gaines wrote, “I’m honored to have the endorsement of every member of the State House who serves a Republican county in the 10th District. These guys have become true friends over the last several years. I’m going to miss serving with them after next year, but will leave the House knowing”.

The following day, August 13, Gaines posted about his experience at a recent political event: “Thank you to Roy Roberts, Jr. for the introduction at last night’s Walton County GOP meeting. More photos from the meeting coming soon, but I’m truly honored to have Roy’s support in this race — & blown away by the support in the crowd.”

On August 14, Gaines reflected on attending another local gathering: “On Monday, Gabi and I were honored to attend the Clarke Co. GOP monthly meeting. Over the last decade, I’ve been to more than 50 meetings with these men & women who are 100% committed to the future of our community & country. I’m honored to call these folks my friends &”

Gaines was elected as a Republican representative for Georgia’s 120th House District in 2023 after Trey Rhodes vacated the seat.
