Houston Gaines, a Republican member of the Georgia State House representing the 120th District since 2023, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting political events and visits in Georgia.

On August 20, 2025, Gaines posted a brief message: ” https://t.co/vU0dEX9X0M”.

The following day, August 21, 2025, he shared his experience at an event featuring the Vice President: “Great to have @VP back in Georgia today. Incredible energy in the crowd. It reminded me of one of my favorite memories of last year—the honor of doing the prayer at @JDVance’s rally the night before the election. He & @POTUS are delivering on exactly what they said they’d do. https://t.co/JfhnKTI4m5”.

On August 22, 2025, Gaines reflected on welcoming Vice President Vance and discussed bipartisan engagement: “Appreciated the opportunity to welcome VP Vance & highlight the successes of the Big Beautiful Bill today. As I shared when asked by a reporter, we welcome the Democrats to visit Georgia & tell their side of the story because every time they do, they turn more folks our way. https://t.co/V7dzPyPXij”.

Gaines has served as state representative since winning election in 2023 after Trey Rhodes vacated the seat for Georgia’s 120th House District.
