Houston Gaines, a Republican member of the Georgia State House representing the 120th District, shared updates on local political and community events through a series of posts in August 2025.

On August 14, Gaines reflected on his recent participation in a local political gathering, writing, “I enjoyed attending the Walton County GOP meeting earlier this week. A huge crowd focused on keeping Walton County – and Georgia – red. It was good to see so many friends & supporters, including Sheriff Keith Brooks. We’ve got the momentum & we’re not slowing down!”

The following day, August 15, Gaines posted a brief message featuring three American flag emojis: “”

On August 16, he commented on the return of high school football in Georgia with the post: “Friday night lights are back! Despite a little weather, the Hog Mountain Bowl is packed out. Good luck to all of the teams competing tonight across the state.”

Gaines was elected to represent Georgia’s 120th House District in 2023 after succeeding Trey Rhodes. As a member of the Republican Party, he has been active in both political and community activities within his district.
