Elizabeth Chamblee Burch, who holds the Callaway Chair at the University of Georgia School of Law, was recently featured on WAMC, a National Public Radio affiliate in Albany, New York. She discussed her new book, “The Pain Brokers: How Con Men, Call Centers, and Rogue Doctors Fuel America’s Lawsuit Factory” (Atria/One Signal Publishers, 2026). The interview aired on February 26 as part of the program “51%,” hosted by Jesse King.

Burch’s appearance highlights ongoing interest in her research and writing on legal issues related to mass tort litigation. Her work examines how certain actors in the legal system contribute to the rise of large-scale lawsuits.
