Two-time Grammy Award winner Dwight Yoakam is scheduled to perform at Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia, on Thursday, November 13. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will feature special guest Junior Brown as part of The Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour.

The tour follows the release of Yoakam’s latest album, Brighter Days, which came out in 2024. This event is part of the inaugural season for Akins Ford Arena, which recently opened as an addition to The Classic Center in Athens.

Dwight Yoakam has sold over 25 million albums globally and has received 21 Grammy nominations. He holds 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums. Five of his albums have reached number one on Billboard’s Country Albums chart, with another 14 ranking in the Top 10. Nearly 40 singles by Yoakam have appeared on Billboard charts, with 14 making it into the Top 10. He has also been recognized by the Americana Music Association as Artist of the Year and received BMI Country Music’s President’s Award.

According to information about Akins Ford Arena, it is part of The Classic Center complex in Athens and can accommodate more than 8,000 attendees for a variety of events including concerts, conventions, sporting tournaments, and other special occasions.
