Classical Entertainment has announced that 42 dancers from Dance FX, a dance studio based in Athens, Georgia, will perform in the production of Swan Lake at The Classic Center Theatre on March 11, 2026. Swan Lake is part of an international touring series presented by Classical Entertainment and travels across the United States and Canada.
This marks the fourth season that Dance FX has collaborated with Classical Entertainment for performances at The Classic Center Theatre. Dance FX is among 47 dance schools chosen from both countries to take part in this community engagement initiative.
The upcoming performance will feature more than 200 custom scenic elements and hand-painted sets. The cast includes artists from a diverse group of countries such as Italy, Spain, Georgia, Ireland, Turkey, Brazil, Great Britain, Ukraine, Japan, Tajikistan, Moldova, and Kazakhstan.
Artem Yachmennikov, Artistic Director of the tour and graduate of the Vaganova Ballet Academy as well as former principal dancer at several major ballet companies including the Bolshoi Theatre and San Francisco Ballet said: “Swan Lake is not just a ballet—it’s a timeless story of love, courage, and transformation. We want every person in the audience to feel inspired, to dream, and to believe in the power and beauty of classical ballet.”
The Classic Center serves as a multi-use conference center and performing arts theatre located in Athens. It hosts various events including conventions, meetings, concerts, sporting tournaments and special occasions. Its Akins Ford Arena opened in 2024 with capacity for over 8,000 attendees.
