COUNTY OF OCONEE: Oconee County Water Resources Reminds Residents of Outdoor Watering Schedule

County of Oconee issued the following announcement on May 26. 

As the county heads into summer and temperatures rise, Oconee County Water Resources reminds residents to adhere to the following non-drought conservation watering schedule that is in effect for Oconee County per Georgia Department of Natural Resources regulations:  

  • Odd-numbered addresses – Outdoor water use is allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays
  • Even-numbered addresses – Outdoor water use is allowed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
  • Drip irrigation and hand watering are allowed on any day and at any time

Being mindful about water use benefits the entire community by conserving this important resource and benefits individual residents by lowering their water bill!
