Community HeLP Clinic students deliver legal presentations in Athens area

Community Health Law Partnership Clinic students delivered four presentations last month at Bethany Christian Services and U-Lead Athens, providing important legal information to local community members in both English and Spanish, according to a May 27 announcement. The group included third-year student Rosalie J. Vendrell and second-year students Annie L. Bordeaux, Meghan Brockman, Mackenzie G. Case, Elisa C. Lara, and Yamileth Palacios Piedra.

The presentations were supervised by Clinic Staff Attorney Kristen Shepherd, Clinic Law Fellow Avery Van Den Berg, and Hosch Professor & Clinic Director Jason A. Cade.

The University of Georgia School of Law supports experiential learning through 18 clinics and externships while promoting high graduate employment rates; it also excels in advocacy competitions with national and regional titles, maintains the Alexander Campbell King Law Library with extensive resources, serves a diverse student body with strong academic profiles, has been ranked No. 22 by U.S. News & World Report and recognized for value by National Jurist, and focuses on redefining excellence in national public legal education through superior teaching and community service, according to the official website.
