A typographical error on the 2025 tax bills led to the publication of an incorrect telephone number for the Clarke County School District. Callers using the printed number receive a message stating that the line has been disconnected or is no longer in service. The correct contact number for the Clarke County School District is 706-546-7721.
The statement regarding House Bill 581 (2024) and the Clarke County School Board’s position was also clarified. “The Clarke County School Board has opted out of property tax relief for homeowners under HB581 (2024). If you have concerns about this decision, please call (706) 546-7721.”
The Clarke County Tax Commissioner’s Office issued an apology for the mistake. “The Clarke County Tax Commissioner’s Office regrets the error. If you have any questions or concerns about your tax bill, please contact our office by calling 706-613-3120 or emailing tc@accgov.com.”
