The Clarke County Tax Commissioner’s Property Tax Division will be closed to in-person visitors on Tuesday, April 14, due to downtown road closures and limited access to the Courthouse. Representatives from the office will be available by phone at 706-613-3120 or via email at tc@accgov.com. The division is scheduled to reopen for in-person services at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15.

This temporary closure may affect residents who need property tax services and require in-person assistance. The office has made arrangements for staff to assist community members remotely during this period.

“We apologize for any inconvenience,” said representatives of the Property Tax Division.

The City of Athens operates as a consolidated city-county government, delivering unified public services across Athens and Clarke County according to the official website.
