Call issued for mural proposals at Morton Theatre lobby

The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov), in partnership with the Athens Downtown Development Authority (ADDA) and the Morton Theatre Corporation (MTC), is seeking professional artists to submit proposals for a mural project in the lobby of the Morton Theatre.

The chosen artist or artists will collaborate with stakeholders and government staff to design a mural intended to enhance visitors’ experiences and recognize the role of the Morton Theatre in Athens and Northeast Georgia. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM. More information and application forms are available online.
