Broadway Entertainment Series returns to Athens with new season at The Classic Center

Downtown Athens is preparing for the start of the 2025–2026 Broadway Entertainment Series at The Classic Center Theatre, with the opening show “Clue” scheduled for November 25 and 26. This season’s lineup features a range of productions, including “Cirque Dreams Holidaze,” “Hadestown,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” and “Beetlejuice.” Each show will have two-night performances.

The series is presented by Akins Ford and aims to attract a wide audience, offering shows that include comedies and other theatrical performances. Organizers encourage attendees to purchase tickets early due to anticipated high demand.

According to the announcement, “This Broadway season promises an unforgettable mix of beloved favorites and bold new storytelling that will captivate audiences of all ages. From laugh-out-loud comedies to awe-inspiring performances, this lineup is designed to ignite the imagination and celebrate the power of live theatre.”

The Classic Center in Athens serves as a multi-use venue for events such as conventions, concerts, sporting tournaments, and special occasions. The recent addition of the Akins Ford Arena has increased its capacity, allowing it to accommodate over 8,000 attendees.
