Former Elbert County High School softball standout Ava Lunsford played with the North Georgia Nighthawks on Saturday, May 30, in the NCAA Division II Tournament, where the team was defeated 7-1 by the Cal State San Marcos Cougars.

The game began at 9 p.m. at Jim Frost Stadium.
