Athens Wine Weekend is back and better than ever, returning to The Classic Center February 3-5, 2023. Tickets to this weekend of exquisite taste are available now.

The weekend begins with the Amuse-Bouche, or “A Little Surprise,” on Friday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., featuring several of the most skilled and talented chefs from the Athens area. Each chef will provide a sampling of their cooking artistry, all paired with the perfect wine to arouse the palate. In addition, attendees are invited to take a chance at this year’s Wine Pull during the Amuse-Bouche, where participants will play for top-notch bottles of wine from around the world.

Kick off your Saturday afternoon with the Grand Tasting, where participants can peruse and sample wines from around the world. While you sip and stroll, make sure to dive into one of the many seminars, such as “Jewels of the Pacific Northwest,” to expand on your knowledge of the grape and learn from the best wine educators. Guests will also enjoy the return of the popular Bourbon Pull, where every player is a winner and will have the chance to go home with a bottle of bourbon or whiskey.

Join us Saturday evening at Gourmet Dinner. A highlight of Athens Wine Weekend, this incredible multi-course meal features cuisine of Austria expertly prepared by The Classic Center’s Executive Chef with Levy, while the Austrian wines are hand selected by Frank Sinkwich, President of Northeast Sales Distributing. From start to finish this event is guaranteed to deliver a culinary experience like no other.

Close out the weekend with an incredible brunch featuring specialty mimosas and a delicious brunch buffet. Grab your significant other or a few friends and let us show you what the perfect wine brunch is all about. Did we mention mimosas?

Make the most of your weekend with a Half Carafe ticket package, which includes hotel accommodations for Friday, February 3, two tickets to the Amuse-Bouche, two tickets to the Grand Tasting, and two tickets to the premier seminar, “Balancing Food and Wine.”

Athens Wine Weekend benefits The Classic Center Cultural Foundation, which awards over $60,000 in grants and annual hospitality education, performing, and visual arts scholarships.
