The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Leisure Services Department and the Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission are asking for public feedback on updates to the Oconee Rivers Greenway Network Plan.

The plan serves as a guide for developing greenways along rivers and multiuse trails throughout Athens-Clarke County. It is designed to provide direction for future improvements in recreational spaces near water corridors.

According to officials, the trail routes outlined in the plan are preliminary. If any section receives funding approval, detailed construction plans will be created, and further public input will be requested before work begins.

Residents can share their comments by completing an online survey at www.accgov.com/greenwaynetworkplan. The survey is available until Sunday, November 30.

For more details about the Oconee Rivers Greenway Network Plan or information about the commission, individuals can visit www.accgov.com/greenwaynetworkplan or contact the Leisure Services Department’s Nature Division Administration offices at 706-613-3111.
