Athens-Clarke County opens winter leisure program registration for 2025-2026

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department has announced its winter program offerings for the 2025-2026 season. The programs will cover a range of topics, including arts, environmental science, recreation, sports, and holiday events. These activities are available for both adults and children.

Online registration for Athens-Clarke County residents begins at 9 AM on Saturday, November 1. Non-residents can start registering online at noon on Monday, November 3. All registrations must be completed online through the department’s website at www.accgov.com/myrec.

Individuals who have not previously set up an account must do so before registering. Payment options include American Express, debit cards, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa, or MasterCard or Visa gift cards.

Registration will remain open until each program reaches full enrollment or the session begins.

New scholarship applicants and those with expired scholarships need to visit a Leisure Services Department facility office to apply or renew their scholarship at least five business days before registering for any program. Scholarships cannot be applied for online. Details about changes to the scholarship program and required documentation are available at www.accgov.com/scholarship.

For individuals without access to a computer or smartphone, registration can be completed using computer labs located at Heard Park (400 McKinley Dr.), Lay Park (297 Hoyt St.), or Howard Park (291 Henderson Ext.) during regular operating hours.
