Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services schedules multiple Halloween events across local parks

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department has announced a series of Halloween events to take place at several parks and facilities in the community during October. The programs are designed for a variety of age groups and interests.

Scheduled activities include the Pumpkin Hunt at Lay Park on October 3, Bear Holloween at Bear Hollow Zoo at Memorial Park on October 17, and two events at Sandy Creek Nature Center on October 18: Scary, Oozy, Slimy Day and Journey through the Stars Planetarium Program: Spooky Space. Other offerings are Walk through Boo at Lay Park on October 24, Fright on the Firefly Halloween Trick or Treat Trail at Dudley Park on October 25, Jack-O-Lantern Jog 5K and Goblin One-Mile Fun Run on October 26, Trunk or Treat at Heard Park on October 27, Halloween Carnival at Heard Park on October 28, and a Halloween Costume Party Therapeutic Program at Howard Park on October 30.
