The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov) Housing and Community Development Department has announced the release of about $1.1 million in general funds for the Fiscal Year 2027 Community Partnerships Program (CPP) and Housing Counseling Program. The funding is part of ACCGov’s FY26-28 Strategic Plan.

The competitive request for proposals process will be open to eligible organizations from October 22, 2025, to November 24, 2025.

Up to $1 million will be available through the CPP to support activities related to neighborhood revitalization, poverty reduction, economic strength, intervention and prevention initiatives, and services connected with the Homeless Continuum of Care. Awarded projects will receive funding for contracts running from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Additionally, up to $100,000 is allocated for housing counseling programs. This initiative is designed to expand services for renters and homeowners in Athens-Clarke County and is aligned with a strategic goal in the county’s current plan. These funds will also cover activities during the same contract period as the CPP.

An application release meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM via Webex. Information about joining the meeting can be found at ACCGov’s website.

For further details or access to application materials, interested parties can visit www.accgov.com/HCD or contact the Housing and Community Development Department by phone or email.
