Athens Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Apr. 21.

College Factory hosts the Kick It For College Charity Kickball Tournament on Saturday, May 21, at Bishop Park in Athens, GA. This new event raises money to support College Factory’s mission in helping first-generation and underserved students achieve their postsecondary educational goals.

The tournament starts at 1 p.m. and will feature 12 teams competing for the tournament title.  Each team of 8-15 players will be paired with a “celebrity” manager to be announced the week of the tournament. Local corporations, businesses, churches, school faculty and government groups are invited to register their adult teams for this friendly, double-elimination tournament.

Come join us and channel your inner child as we play everyone’s favorite schoolyard game! Anyone interested in competing in this year’s kickball tournament should visit collegefactory.org or contact Brittany Siewe at Brittany@collegefactory.org.
