AHS Teachers of the Month For August

Congratulations to Mr. Matt Fuller and Ms. Deb McCauley!

Teacher of the month Matt Fuller has come home to Apalachee after retiring several years ago and he has transitioned back flawlessly to become a valuable member of our Fine Arts department. He has created a music appreciation class from several disparate sources to be a class that engages students and empowers them to take risks in an otherwise unknown area for much of our population. In the band room, he provides a wealth of knowledge and spreads positivity in any situation. It has been wonderful having Mr. Fuller back in our building.

Faculty Member of the month Deb McCauley was already very busy as our media center clerk, PIE coordinator, and PBIS team member, then two days before the opening of school she stepped into the role of art teacher. Although she has no formal teacher training, she has students learning and demonstrating their skills in exciting ways. Ms. McCauley exemplifies what it means to be a team player and is tackling her new role with incredible energy.
