The Lyndon House Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of the 48th Juried Exhibition. The show is curated by Maria Elena Ortiz, Curator at The Modern in Fort Worth, Texas. The opening reception is Thursday, March 2 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The exhibition is on view through May 6, 2023.

Maria Elena Ortiz reviewed 682 works of art by 245 Athens area artists. Of these, Ms. Ortiz chose 154 works by 107 local artists. In addition, multiple awards selected by the Juror will be announced on opening day.

Throughout the run of the exhibition, the Lyndon House Arts Center will be hosting artist talks in the galleries Thursday evenings during the month of April. Those dates are April 6, 13, 20, and 27th. Gallery Talks begin at 6:00 pm.

The Lyndon House Arts Center would like to thank the Athens area artists who entered their works for review and for the generous and continued support for this anchor community art event.

All exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public. Exhibitions are on view during regular gallery hours Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
